"Comparing and Contrasting" - POINT-BY-POINT ORGANISATION

EBOOK VS. PAPER BOOK

Reading a book from an ebook is very differnt from reading it on paper. First of all, ebooks don't take almost space and don't almost weigh , while paper books occupy more space, weigh more, and accumulate dust. In contrast to paper books, with ebooks you are able to do a backup of the books in the case you lose them. Another difference is that ebooks are cheaper than books. Another important difference is that ebooks don't need paper and are responsible with the enviroment, while books have to be printed on paper. Also, while ebooks can be updated and corrected if they have mistakes, paper books haven't got this advantage because they have been printed already. Whereas with an ebook a book is easy to obtain and they don't run out, sometimes with paper books, editions are run out and you can't get a book. Ebooks facilitate the access to reading by being designed for people visually impaired, so they allow and include audio playback with books. However, paper books are more difficult to break down. With ebooks you are able to search a word or a sentence instantly, not the same as paper books. Finally, a last difference is that paper books don't require having any knowledge about technology. Although the purpose is the same: to read; doing that with an ebook or on paper can make the action very different.

Opinion paragraph

UNCONDITIONAL BASIC INCOME

In this post I am giving my opinion about the unconditional basic income, which is a proposed system of social security in which all citizens of a country regularly receive an unconditional sum of money, in addition to any income received from elsewhere.
To begin with, I would like to highlight that I agree with this activity. Some ideas that support it are:
With attention to society, the basic income distributes in a better way the wealth, namely, it gives less money to the richest and more to poor people, so poverty would be eliminated by having everybody a basic income independently if they work or not. Thus, if a person works, he will obtain more money since apart from the money he or she earns from his job, he would also receive this income.
In addition to, by not being necessary to work, people won’t do forced labors and they will work in jobs they really like. For this reason basic income also promotes a better efficient of people by working in a job in which they feel motivated.
Moreover, it promotes ideas for new businesses by providing money to a person who wanted to carry out it.
In a nutshell, I agree with the unconditional basic income because it promotes a better socio-economic system by distributing wealth and by increasing efficiency.

1st Practice

THE RAIN

Most people don't like those days in which the weather is not as good and sunny as they want. For this reason, bad weather makes people get angry and they don't feel like doing nothing. However, bad weather makes me happy because I love the rain, the storms, the smell after a rainy day, and everything about it, even when you have to stay at home owing to the rain, which floods the sreets sometimes. I also love the feeling of sitting on the sofa with a blanket due to the cold that sometimes the rain brings, watching films hearing the rain falling outside. A lot of people agree that bad weather makes them happy, although most of the world hates it. I think it seems strange that someone could like days when you cannot get out of your house and when the sky id all grey and sometimes black, but I love it.

"I loved you..." (by Alexander Pushkin)

I loved you, and I probably still do,

And for a while the feeling may remain...

But let my love no longer trouble you,

I do not wish to cause you any pain.

I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew,

The jealousy, the shyness - though in vain -

Made up a love so tender and so true

As may God grant you to be loved again.

Describing a person/character

My sister.

I have always seen my sister as my other half. We were born together, since we are twins. Firstly we seem very similar, but if people get to know us more deeply, we are exremely different from each other. Physically, she is blond and tall, but shorter than me, and she has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. Related to her personality, she is a very outgoing person, and she doesn't mind talking to people she doesn't know. She is also very nice, and her kindness is something I admire about her. Although we are always getting angry with each other, I love everything about her and I couldn't imagine my life without her.

"Swaping houses"

1. Choose a topic.
2. Narrow the topic.
3. Think.
4. Write some sentences and choose.

1.Travels.
2.Swaping houses.

Swaping houses is cheaper than staying in a hotel. Nowadays more and more people don't travel due to the expensive prices of hotels or apartments, as well as paying the airplain or gasoline, meals in the place where you stay.

So exchanging homes with a family from where you travel to can be a cheaper option, and you feel like in your own home by being in another house from another family. It is also a way of escape from the routine of being in your house everyday.

"First Love"

1. Topic: Love
2. Narrow the topic: "First love"

First love is the most feared by young people. They expect something totally different from what it is actually. In fact, this is caused by love stories shown on television and films, but finally for everyone, first love is the most innocent and unknown one, you don't know how it is going to be, but it is also beautiful because we feel emotions totally new for us.
